Arizona GOP Debate Winners & Losers

Santorum was defensive and lost. He seemed to be part of that unpopular congress and he got caught in hypocrisy regarding earmarks and Sen Spector. Santorum also got crunched in his argument about funding planned parenthood where he supported the bill but, then introduced another bill to cow niter the bill-that did not hold any water- and when u are against contraceptives because of all these unwed mothers and children having children? Hello? Children wouldn’t be having children if they were on contraceptives and Mitt made Santorum like an insider. Santorum was defensive, un-Presidential and has given Mitt Romney a chance back to Michigan. Continue reading

Ron Paul Now A Huge Factor In GOP Race

I believe that Ron Paul wants to make a major speech at convention and have some of his platform incorporated into Republican platform. The amount of delegates he accumulates is how this negotiation will be determine. This would be an historical event- and would legitimize the power of the up-coming former outcast Libertarian Party as an influential “not-going-away” player in American politics and policy. The Republican Party would never incorporate his international policy, but could incorporate enough of his economic policy -(abolish some of the bloated, useless departments in DC, drastically reduce the debt with across the board cuts) depending on the number of delegates he wins and the growing popularity of his movement.

The Republicans have a real incentive to make Ron Paul happy-so that he would endorse the Republican nominee and hopefully his ardent followers would follow his lead. So far, Ron Paul’s candidacy has helped Mitt Romney tremendously, because he has buffered an anti-Romney candidate from emerging A By his top finishes- and b-by taking away 20% of voters who otherwise would be backing theoretically another candidate. But primarily by finishing 3 and 2- he kept Gingrich in lower tear twice and Santorum in New Hampshire-giving Romney more distance from serious contenders to run against him toe to toe for the nomination and thereby keeping that field split and weak.

However, his votes have to go somewhere so there are tow theories

Bill Crystol contends that it would be better for a strong anti Romney candid Continue reading

New Hampshire Primary Analysis: Huge Win For Romney / Gingrich & Santorum Weaken

New Hampshire Primary Analysis: Huge Win For Romney / Gingrich & Santorum Weaken.

Mitt Romney
Romney win by this margin is huge and it gives him a ton of momentum to go to South Carolina. The fact that it was over so quickly is a great thing for him and makes the win so decisive compared to how it went on all night like Iowa. There is no comparison in these wins. He sliced his opponents in half and gives him huge momentum in SC.

Romney was very mart to go right to attack President Obama in his acceptance speech (one of the best speeches I’ve ever seen him give). He looks much more Presidential than Newt Gingrich.

Ron Paul
No one should be surprised of Ron Paul’s 2nd place finish as New Hampshire Independents are allowed to vote. Paul knows he doesn’t have a chance to capture the nomination. He’s staying in the race to get his ideas heard in the Republican platform and to pave the ground for a future Presidential run by his son, Rand.

Jon Huntsman
Huntsman’s 3rd place finish likely means he’s finished with no support or money on national level.

New Gingrich
Romney’s decisive win rubs salt in Newt Gingrich’s disappointing finish – a total humiliation. Gingrich’s trategy was a kamikaze mission on Romney but, in the end it backfired on him. He looked very un-presidential, mean spirited and he’s also infuriated the conservative base by attacking capitalism.

Rick Santorum
Comes out better than Gingrich because he refused to get into the fray and attack Romney which pleased Republicans. He still is a viable alternative to Romney.

Rick Perry
Should drop out immediately regardless of the size of his campaign war chest. He’s a non-factor and should get out for the sake of the party. Maybe give the money for Santorum.

Next To Drop Out
Jon Huntsman
