Arizona GOP Debate Winners & Losers

Santorum was defensive and lost. He seemed to be part of that unpopular congress and he got caught in hypocrisy regarding earmarks and Sen Spector. Santorum also got crunched in his argument about funding planned parenthood where he supported the bill but, then introduced another bill to cow niter the bill-that did not hold any water- and when u are against contraceptives because of all these unwed mothers and children having children? Hello? Children wouldn’t be having children if they were on contraceptives and Mitt made Santorum like an insider. Santorum was defensive, un-Presidential and has given Mitt Romney a chance back to Michigan. Continue reading

Santorum’s Self Righteousness Is The Achilles Heel That Will Bring Down His Candidacy

Rick Santorum is playing the “holier than thou” card against President Obama, the other GOP Candidates, and millions of Americans who don’t share his Christian values worldview. Super Tuesday & The Delegates Ahead

Michigan and Arizona could put Romney back on top before Super Tuesday- He is very strong in both but he has to change his strategy and not be so lofty- he has to actually talk to the voters instead of just holding rallies and he can’t just say “I will change America” etc he has to talk about specifics and he has to somehow diminish the image of being cold and out of touch-His “I don’t care about the poor” hurt him more than “I like firing people’ but what is really hurting him now is the outrage happening over Obama’s over reach into the Catholic institutions, forcing them to cover their employees with insurance for birth control which is against their religion. This issue coming into the American spotlight a major problem for Obama and has out national attention on just one aspect of Obama Care that the American people have and still are so concerned about -its over-reaching into people’s choices and in this case against religion. But the bad news for Romney too (very bad news) is that his health care plan is very similar to Obama’s and since this is the big news nation-wide right now it gives Santorum and Gingrich ammunition Continue reading

A Blip On The Radar Becomes A Game Changer

Three states in America’s heartland-the mid-west showed that they have a thing or two to say about America and what kind of President they want. Why? Because the Mitt Romney and the Newt Gingrich strategies worked a little too well and they succeeded in their goal of destroying each other. Continue reading

Gingrich’s “Twilight Zone” Nevada Press Conference Reveals Spectacular Candidacy Implosion

Gingrich the Grinch tried hard to teal Mitt Romney’s double digit slammer win in Nevada by holding a surreal press conference that resembled something out of the twilight zone. First of all, it was an odd venue to choose for a number of reasons:

1. Gingrich complained during the debates about the fact that the audience was not allowed for respond during the first Florida debate, because he clearly does his best when he is in front of an audience and if he couldn’t gather up enough supporters to give an actual speech in Nevada -whether or not that is true-it appeared to be true.

2. His other main complaint is the media. He had cancelled all of his daily press conferences leading up to the conference pin Nevada- a self-defeating move, considering he ran no TV or radio ads-so his voice before the caucus was virtually unheard. At least if he had held his daily press conferences, he could have gotten some free press.

3. Gingrich announced he wouldn’t do debates with Obama if the press moderated them- a primadonna move-and also an indicator of how he feels unfairly treated by the insiders in Washington and the media- painting himself as someone crucified like Joan of Arc- kind of a conservative hero fighting for the cause til death due them part. Therefore, with those strong feelings about the press, holding a press conference instead of giving a speech is quite odd.

4. The silence in the room was eery compared to the fanfare surrounding Mitt’s victory speech, combined with secret servicemen who live in sunglasses surrounding him. Gingirch was late at least twice and changed “rooms” a few times, forcing the cameras to go back once again to an empty room. Huge contrast and not one I would think a serious contender would want. And yes, there were rumors that he was bowing out, but they were because he WAS holding a press conference, NOT as he bitterly stated right at the very beginning of the PC setting the stage of nasty over-the-top rhetoric against his rival that bordered on paranoia, that the Operatives of the Romney campaign in Boston leaked rumors that I was quitting the race, indulging in their greatest fantasy.

Wow, it was inspiring. Gingrich the Grinch trying to steal Romney’s big wrapped up present with a red white and blue bow. If Gingrich thinks THIS is the way to win he iis sorely mistaken. Continue reading

Newt Implosion

“Which Newt are we going to get?” Is the big question on voter’s minds as we watch this brilliant, capable, conservative, experienced, exciting candidate ride the tital wave on South Carolina right into Florida, swiping Mitt’s wide lead in the state in a matter of days and taking over a commanding lead as he electrifies his base before he turns back into the OTHER Newt-Kamakazi Newt. The bitter, whining, complaining, personal attacking angry loser Newt. The unelectable Newt by his very own admission. he threw himself off the bus.

Florida Primary Insight

The Wild Ride Continues— and will until Republican National Convention in Tampa in August

Gingrich will not leave race until the bitter end- part of it is very personal- his intense dislike for Mitt Romney which has escalated with each day

Part is that his strategy is that he can get enough delegates along with Ron Paul and Santorum to block Romney’s nomination of the 1114 (I better check that) delegates needed to win nomination and he would be alternative

And he can point to the polls, which show Gingrich and Romney in dead heat nationally!

Also Florida was punished by having half of its delegates taken away when it moved up its primary so it has 100 delegates instead of 100. Therefore the race has just begun, Gingrich argues, and if Santorum bows out of the race, he could have those votes in upcoming caucuses and primaries which would give him ten to fifteen percent more of the republican electorate

And as usual, no one mentions Ron Paul but, he is losing Florida by approx 44% to 20– that gives Romney huge momentum going forward (besides the delegates, but we have seen in these races that momentum doesn’t count for much-since the first 3 states were won by Santorum, Romney, Gingrich respectively).

`Also Santorum has not indicated he is going anywhere!

In fact, the irony and confusing part of this puzzle is: Santorum AND Paul do better against Obama than Gingrich does according to the most recent daily tracking polls today. And Gingrich is running out of money. And he is way off message

If Gingrich learned anything from New Hampshire, and Iowa it should be that whining and getting angry and complaining and defending negative ads against him is unattractive to voters and keeps him off his message. That is one reason his numbers have gone down! He just doesn’t learn! If he would energize his base instead of being nasty and defensive and complaining and mean-spirited- he shines!
